R. Allen Beverly, Jr. is an attorney with Hutchens Law Firm practicing in the area of Real Estate, an area he’s mainly focused on since his admission to the South Carolina Bar in 2005. A native to the Myrtle Beach area along with his experience with banking, mortgages, small business, probate, foreclosures and real estate law make him a logical choice to help lead our Firm in expanding to the coastal South Carolina region.
Allen had his own successful solo law firm for 8 years in which he sold in 2016. Prior to, he worked for the Mayor of Conway, the late Gregory K. Martin for 4 years focusing mainly on real estate law, probate and foreclosures.
Recently, he was with Movement Mortgage as a South Carolina Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator so he is very familiar and experienced with both the banking and closing sides of the real estate transaction.
Allen also served as Vice-Chairman from 2006 to 2014 for the Horry County Zoning Board of Appeals dealing with all zoning appeal matters for the Horry County Government. He also taught a Business Law Class for the Horry Georgetown Technical College Paralegal program.
Since 2006, he has been the court-appointed attorney for a majority of the mental health and chemical dependency hearings for the Horry County Probate Court.
Allen brings extensive knowledge and experience to the Hutchens Law Firm about dirt law, business, probate law, and banking.
In his spare time, Allen enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his wife Jennifer and two boys - Hampton and McLaurin - following South Carolina Gamecock Football and being active with Wellspring Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
