PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Cynthia Schafer Pela joins Hutchens Law Firm as an associate attorney practicing in the area of real estate. Cynthia’s passion for real estate began while she worked as an administrative and marketing assistant for a large real estate firm in Hawaii where her husband was stationed in the military. She later became a licensed Real Estate Agent so she could help her clients make sound, informed decisions in the purchase of real estate. Wanting to provide her clients with an even better understanding of the intricacies of a real estate transaction, she decided to pursue a law degree.
Cynthia received her Juris Doctor from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, graduating cum laude. While a law student, she worked as a Webster’s Scholar updating Webster’s Real Estate Law in North Carolina. In 2016, she received the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Most Outstanding Advocate Award. She also worked as a legal research and writing scholar and was the Chief Notes Editor for the Campbell Law Review. During the summer of her second year of law school, Cynthia interned as a summer law clerk with Hutchens Law Firm learning every step of a real estate transaction.
Returning to Hutchens Law Firm, Cynthia hopes to use her perspective and experience in the real estate industry to provide her clients with a full understanding of their transaction all while providing excellent customer service.
