John B. Kelchner is an associate attorney with Hutchens Law Firm practicing in the area of creditors’ rights with a focus on mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy. John currently is the lead bankruptcy and litigation attorney in our South Carolina office representing creditors in State and Federal Court.

Having practiced for 20 years, John is well-respected among his peers in the profession and has earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, the highest rating possible. John has been a speaker at educational conferences and a panelist in seminars for the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association and enjoys representing creditors’ interests. John believes it is truly an honor to be consulted for his opinion on matters related to creditor’s rights.

John’s family time with his wife and two daughters is paramount. In his free time, he enjoys coaching his daughters’ church basketball teams, going to the beach with the family, playing golf, and watching sports.

John joined the firm in 2014 and is located in our Columbia office.
