PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Whitney Maxwell is an associate attorney with Hutchens Law Firm, practicing out of the firm’s Charlotte office. Whitney’s practice focuses on closing real estate transactions for buyers, sellers, investors, and assisting clients in all aspects of their foray into home ownership.

Whitney has ten years of experience in real estate law, both on the transactional side and the dispute resolution front. She started her career in default servicing and creditor’s rights and has a background in bankruptcy, foreclosure, title curative, and evictions. Whitney prefers real estate transactions to litigation or other, less collaborative areas of the law, as she calls it “happy law”. Everyone is always excited to get to the closing table, and Whitney prides herself on making sure the largest transaction most folks ever undertake goes smoothly.

Born and raised in central Virginia in a small town named Appomattox, which holds an important place in American History. She graduated from Virginia Tech magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies she continued on to Liberty University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor.

In her free time, Whitney enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
