PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
John Kay brings experience and perseverance to his position as the Partner and Default Service Managing Attorney of the Columbia, South Carolina office. John focuses his practice in the areas of mortgage default servicing, real estate, and bankruptcy and throughout the year is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars on issues related to these areas. John also conducts training sessions for mortgage servicers around the country. He is the former chairman of the Education Committee for the USFN and is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas, having served on its Loan Administration and Education committees. John is also a member of the Richland County Master in Equity Liaison Committee and has served on the Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina.
In his personal time, he volunteers as a shooting coach for a middle and high school sporting clays team.
