Shiann Schmidt practices in the areas of litigation, business law, creditors' rights and administrative law. Growing up on a farm, she learned at a young age the meaning of hard work and the reward of helping others. As an attorney, she has used these lessons in her work with clients and colleagues. She has a strong passion for continually learning, understanding, and explaining the intricacies of the law. She also enjoys the immense privilege of assisting people through the complex legal system.
Shiann is a graduate of Regent University School of Law. While in law school, Shiann served as the Chairman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board and gained national recognition with her teammate at the National Negotiations Competition in 2012. Before joining Hutchens Law Firm, she served as an Assistant District Attorney in Hoke County prosecuting domestic violence, drug crimes, property crimes, DWI, traffic offenses, and personal crimes. To push herself further, Shiann has transferred into the world of civil litigation where she can use her skills to help a larger population.
